Aletha (Hill) Phillippi, 95 of Zionsville passed away peacefully on Jan. 4, 2014.. Aletha was born on March 24, 1918, in Zionsville the daughter of Fred and Inez Hill. She worked and lived in Zionsville her entire life.. Aletha was a secretary at Pitman Moore (later Dow Chemical) and the Zionsville school corporation. She was a life-long member of Zionsville United Methodist Church and was active in the local chapter of Psi Iota Xi Philanthropic Sorority and the Zionsville Women’s Club and the Eastern Star.. Her marriage to Carlton Phillippi covered more than a half century. He preceded her in death as did her brother Robert Hill and youngest daughter Carla Phillippi. She is survived by her daughters, Peggy (Thomas) Elzey and Roberta (John B.) Parks; grandchildren, John C. Parks and Laura (Christopher) Jackson; and great-grandson, Liam Jackson.. A funeral service is scheduled at 3 p.m. Friday Jan. 10, at Flanner and Buchanan-Zionsville, with calling beginning at 1 p.m. prior to service time. At 2:50 p.m. there will be a Psi Iota Xi Sorority Service..
