Andrew's Story

Andrew M. "Sparky" Seever, 27, of Zionsville, passed away peacefully while surrounded by the love of his family on Sept. 4, 2017 at IU North Hospital due to complications from Duchenne's muscular dystrophy. He was born on Dec. 6, 1989 in Indianapolis to Frances J. "Rowe" Seever and John M. Seever.
Andrew attended Zionsville High School where he served as a student manager of the football team alongside his lifelong friend, Becca Schafer. He graduated high school in 2009, and furthered his education at Ball State University earning a Bachelor of Science degree in General Studies and minors in Business Management and History.
Upon graduation in 2013, Andrew was employed by Bodkin Associates, Inc. He was an active member at the Zionsville United Methodist Church, served on the board for the Muscular Dystrophy Family Foundation, and served as the Treasurer of the Board for Beautiful Things Ministries, Inc.
Andrew's passion for sports and competitive spirit was evident while playing power soccer with his team, Sudden Impact.
Andrew always had a smile on his face and making others laugh came natural to him. Andrew's family and friends found him to be loyal and always put others' needs before his own. From preparing "to-do" lists to vacation planning, Andrew was the organizer of the family.
Andrew was very well traveled. His favorite destinations included; Walt Disney World, Jackson Hole, Wyoming, Smoky Mountains, and cruising. He was quick-witted and his face would light up during conversations covering myriad topics including music, sports, history and more. Andrew was steadfast, brave, and an inspiration to others until his last breath.
Andrew was the light of his family. Andrew is survived by his parents, Frances J. (Rowe) Seever and John M. Seever; brother, James Michael Seever; sister-in-law, Kara S. (Lee) Seever; niece, Emma S. Seever; maternal grandparents, Philip W. & Grace C. Rowe; and his beloved service dog, Jarrett. He was also greatly loved by his aunts, uncles, and cousins of Miamisburg and Batavia, Ohio.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Charles and Loretta Seever; uncle, Michael G. Seever, formerly of Connersville, Indiana.
Memorial Services will be held Saturday, Sept. 16, 2017 at 2 p.m. with visitation two hours prior at the Zionsville United Methodist Church, 9644 Whitestown Road. Burial of remains will be at Salem Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Jerrit Clayton at Simplicity Funeral & Cremation Care.
