Ann "Nancy" Jacobus, 71, formerly of Zionsville and Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on April 3, 2015, in Westfield.. She was born in Pottsville, Pennsylvania, on May 11, 1943, to Peter and Anna O’Donnell. She grew up in Wilkes-Barre surrounded by her large extended family and friends. Nancy graduated from St. Mary’s High School and from Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in Wilkes-Barre. Following years of living in locales throughout the U.S. and a brief stint in Saudi Arabia, she settled in Zionsville in 1989.. Jacobus served and cared for many people throughout her life as a mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, wife, camp counselor and swimming instructor, nurse to military personnel and seniors, school volunteer, and library volunteer. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, reading, and collecting cookbooks.. She is survived by her son Nelson Jacobus (Lori) of Westfield; her brother Peter O’Donnell (Jean) of Natrona Heights, Pennsylvania; and loving grand-children Garrett, Caroline, and Isabel Jacobus.. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, April 9, at St. Alphonsus Liguori Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 8, at the church.
