Beverly (Cox) Bowen is enjoying unlimited refills in the Kingdom of Heaven. Beverly passed away on Feb. 20, 2018, in Naples, Florida at the age of 75.
Beverly, known as Meme to her family, had a lively, colorful spirit. She was an avid reader with an extensive knowledge of the Bible. As a devoted grandmother, she rarely missed a game or event. During her retirement years, she traveled to six continents, collected antiques and completed her "bucket list." Her pug, Grace Belle, was her loyal companion for many years. In her younger years, Beverly was an accomplished real estate broker, equestrian, hairdresser and seamstress.
Beverly was born in Lebanon, Indiana, to Glen and Zelma (Burns) Cox on June 23, 1942. She graduated from Whitestown High School and the School of Cosmetology.
Beverly is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Gayle Bowen, and parents, Glen and Zelma. Loving family includes two daughters, Gayle (Bowen) Stanek (husband, Tom), of Villa Hills, Kentucky, and Elle (Bowen) Starkey, (husband, Mark), of Lebanon, Indiana; six grandchildren, Donny Lee, (wife, Jennifer), Holly (Stanek) McClendon (husband, Micah), Mallory Stanek, Mitchell Starkey, Nick Starkey, and Jackson Stanek.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 5, 2018, from 4-8 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, Lebanon. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 6, 2018, at 10:30 a.m., also at Myers Mortuary with Rev. Matt Skiles of Lebanon Rock Church officiating. Burial will follow at Hutton Cemetery in Zionsville, Indiana.
