David A. Hoover


David Allen Hoover, 65, of Westfield, IN, passed away suddenly on January 7, 2019. Dave was born December 3, 1953, a son of Marilou Hoover (Patterson) and the late Paul Hoover. He graduated from Zionsville Community High School in 1972. He was an avid sports fan, and especially loved the Purdue Boilermakers and the Indianapolis Colts. Above all, he loved watching his son and his grandkids play sports, he was their biggest and loudest fan. He spent a lot of his time fishing with his father over the years, his son and his grandson. He took many trips to Canada to go fishing with his buddies. He was highly competitive at darts, board games and especially poker. He won his final poker hand at his regular Monday night game, surrounded by his friends. He is survived by his son, Aaron (Erica) Hoover, grandchildren: Ashley, Kristina, Bryson, Jaelyn and his grand-pets Bella and Jasmine; his mother Marilou Ann Hoover; sister Paula (Bob) Walker, and several cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Paul W. Hoover. Family and friends will gather Friday January 11, 2019 for visitation from 11am until time of services at 1pm at Simplicity Funeral & Cremation Care, 125 W. Sycamore St. Zionsville, IN 46077. Burial will immediately follow the service at Lincoln Memory Gardens in Whitestown, IN. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name may be made to Westfield Athletic Booster Club (WABC), P.O. Box 495 Westfield, IN 46074.
