Elizabeth N. (Nick) Jennings passed away in her sleep on May 3, 2015, at her winter home in Boynton Beach, Florida.. Nick was born on April 23, 1919, in Dobbs Ferry, New York, to George Harvey and Marion Huntington Nicholls. She made her way from the east coast to Indiana University, where she earned her degree in home economics. She also met her future husband, William P. (Bill) Jennings.. Nick and Bill made their home in Indianapolis and later in Zionsville, along with their three children, William P. (Bill) Jr., Judith Barnes (Chris, deceased) and Jeanne Mosher (Doug). They also had nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.. Keeping up with three active children, Nick still found time to volunteer at Crossroads and various other charitable institutions. Also, Nick found time to be a wonderfully loving wife, mother and grandmother, and a devoted friend to many.. Nick is preceded in death by her husband; sisters, Peggy Messinger and Louise Nicholls; and brother, Frank Nicholls.. Private services will be held for the family and a memorial tribute held at a later date.. Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to the Crossroads Guild or to the Marquette Manor Foundation.
