Frances Isabell (Allen) Rodgers, 88, of Zionsville, passed away on Friday, Dec. 12, 2014, at Countryside Meadows of Avon.. Frances was born on Jan. 29, 1926, in Kingman, Indiana, to Charles A. and Clara L. (Shoemaker) Allen. She graduated from Wallace High School in 1943 and married Kenneth W. Rodgers on June 17, 1944.. Frances was a member of the Zionsville United Methodist Church, was a dental assistant and homemaker in Zionsville for many years.. She is survived by her brother, Johnny Allen, of Kingman; her children, Judy Rodgers (Peter Chapin), Kevin Rodgers (Karen), and Kerry Rodgers (Carolyn); eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.. Frances was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a brother, Gerald Allen; and sisters, Fauniel Colson, Madeline Richardson, Marie “Pete” Greene, Bethavene Young, Pauline Hodge, and Catherine Muston.. Calling was from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 20, followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. with Rev. Mark Dodd officiating. Services were at Flanner and Buchanan-Zionsville, 105 W. Pine Street, and burial was at Zionsville Cemetery.. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: American Heart Association, Child Fund International, or the Alzheimer’s Association.
