Jeffrey A. Witt, 53, of Brazil, died unexpectedly, March 10, 2015, following a brief illness.. He was born Aug. 2, 1961, in Peru, Indiana, the son of Phillip and Constance “Connie” (Sims) Witt. Jeff graduated from Zionsville Community High School with the class of 1979, where he served as the band president and was awarded the John Philips Sousa Award. After high school he worked as a machinist in several Indianapolis area shops. He had been working at Britt Aero, in Brazil, for the past 17 years as a tool and die maker.. Jeff enjoyed playing with his grandchildren, riding his four-wheeler, lifting weights and golfing. He was a wonderful father and friend to his two sons. His willingness to put their needs ahead of his will forever be appreciated.. He leaves behind two sons, Andrew Witt, and wife, Mary, of Florida, and Ben Witt, of Brazil; four grandchildren, Harley Witt, Kylee Witt, “little” Jeff Witt, and Abigail Witt; and a sister, Carrie Witt Roush, of Zionsville; as well as many extended family members and friends.. Jeff was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Eric Witt.. Services were at 2 p.m., Saturday, March 14, at French Funeral Home, 421 E. National Ave., Brazil, IN 47834.
