Jim "Sonny" Crail, 69, of Zionsville, passed away Oct. 22, 2017. He was born Dec. 24, 1947 in Indianapolis, the son of Ermal and Mary (Grimes) Crail.
Jim served in the U.S. Marine Corps for over 22 years, also serving in Vietnam. He was a proud Marine. Jim was also proud of and loved his family.
He became an insurance agent in 1988, eventually forming his own business, Premier Financial Group USA.
Jim attended St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. He loved to play golf and was a huge Colts and Pacers fan.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents.
On June 6, 1970, he married Kathleen Crail, who survives, and was Jim's wife for 47 years. He is also survived by his children, Angie Bowden (Eddie) and James "J. C." Crail II; his grandchildren, Jarred Bowden (Angel) and Jannia Bowden; his siblings, Bruce Crail, Alvin Crail (Linda), Fran Johnson (Greg), and Maura Griffin (Dallas); and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Thursday, Oct. 26 at St. Alphonsus Liguori Catholic Church, Zionsville. Burial was in Eagle Creek Cemetery, with military honors.
