John Austin Clements (Jac), died Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2016. He resided in Zionsville since the late '60s.
Born in Watseka, Illinois, he was the son of Wendell and Vivian (Austin) Clements. Jac graduated in 1952 from Wellington High School and started a lifelong career in heavy highway construction, including the original construction of I-65.
Jac and his wife, Carole, enjoyed working in their yard and traveling in their travel trailer. They spent winters in Mission, Texas, where Jac was an avid member of the Rock Club.
He leaves his wife of 61 years, Carole (Barrick) Clements; sons, Scott (Michele), Neal (Libby) and David (Beth) Clements; and grandchildren, Austin, Rex, Lauren, Jordan and Cole Clements.
