Judith "Judy" Lee Schoen Veatch, 75, a lifelong resident of Zionsville, died Wednesday, June 1, 2016.

After graduation, she enrolled in the Methodist Hospital Nursing School, graduating in 1962. Judy enjoyed a long and rewarding career as a registered nurse with Eli Lilly & Co., retiring in 1997.

She was a fixture at Zionsville's Lions Park, supporting her children and grandchildren in Little League and in countless gymnasiums across the country, watching volleyball and basketball games. She also was an accomplished clarinetist with scholarships to Butler University, her father's alma mater, and Julliard. She elected to enter Methodist Hospital School of Nursing.
