Julie Anne Krumwied-Ayres, of Zionsville, passed away unexpectedly on Nov. 30, 2014.. Julie was born in Phoenix, Arizona, on Feb. 23 to Richard and Joyce Krumweid. She was a graduate of the Zionsville Community High School Class of 1984 and Ball State University Class of 1988. She was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority.. She enjoyed a career as a professional singer and worked for SmarTravel, Village Station, of Zionsville, and American Legion.. Julie is survived by her loving children, Garrett Charles (25) and Kara Elaine Ayres (20), both of Zionsville; her best friend and father to her children, Gordon Ray Ayres (49); her brothers and their wives, Robert and Rebecca Krumwied, of Crown Point, and Scott and Nancy Krumwied, of Indianapolis; her wonderful nephews and niece, Jeremy, Zachary, Nicholas, Adam, Andrew, and Erika Krumwied; all of her amazing friends whom she called family; and her vivacious cat, Zoey (aka wove wove).. Julie was preceded in death by her parents.. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 4, at Flanner and Buchanan-Zionsville, 105 W. Pine Street, with a funeral service immediately following at 7 p.m.. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of her parents..
