Kathryn "Kay" Morris, of Zionsville, died July 27, 2014, surrounded by her children at her home after a short, yet courageous battle with cancer. She had a kind, loving spirit and will be missed dearly by her family members and friends.. Born in 1943 in Danville, Illinois, Kay was the oldest of six children born to Robert and Marjorie Malaise, who both preceded her in death. She graduated from Chrisman High School (Illinois) in 1961 and received her Registered Nursing degree from St. Elizabeth Hospital School of Nursing in 1964 before earning her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing in 1997 from Indiana Wesleyan University.. Giving to others was a way of life for Kay. She raised four children, was a loving grandmother to five grandchildren and helped hundreds of kids around the world through volunteerism with Kiwanis International. She helped her patients get back on their feet throughout her 33 years of nursing. She was a Certified Healing Touch Practitioner, mentored those taking classes in Health Touch and started the Healing Touch program at Indiana University Health North Hospital.. Kay was an active member of the Zionsville United Methodist Church, enjoyed painting watercolors and loved gardening.. Kay is survived by her sons, Robert Morris of Champaign, Illinois, and John (Lorena) Morris of Annandale, Virginia, as well as her identical twin daughters, Kathy Morris and Karen Morris of Chicago. She is also survived by all five of her siblings: Robert (Elizabeth) Malaise of Chrisman, Illinois; Richard (Ann) Malaise of Arlington, Virginia; Camilla (David) Stanley of Rogersville, Missouri; Rene (Lana) Malaise of Mahomet, Illinois; and Truletta (Jeff) Argubright of Oglesby, Illinois..
