LuAnn Q. Farkas, 89, of Atlanta and formerly of Zionsville, died Dec. 24, 2016.
She was born in Mitchell, Indiana, and was the daughter of the late William and Zoe Quigley. LuAnn graduated from Franklin College and began teaching English and Latin. During her teaching career, she taught in Mitchell and in Riverdell, New Jersey, where she became an assistant librarian. After her teaching career, LuAnn started work in the medical field and was a patient liaison at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, William C. and Patricia Farkas; grandchildren, Jason Farkas, Coleen Richardson and Terri Reade; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Charles E. Farkas Jr.
A memorial service will take place at a later date in Mitchell.
Arrangements are by H.M. Patterson and Son, Arlington Chapel, Atlanta, Georgia.
