Carol Ann King was born in Beloit, Wisconsin on Jan. 9, 1938, and passed away on Aug. 21, 2017, at age 79.
Carol and her family moved to Zionsville, Indiana in her first year and lived there the rest of her life. Carol graduated from Zionsville High School in 1956 and was a majorette and baton twirler in the Zionsville band.
Carol was married to William "Bill" I. King on June 6, 1958 and soon became a stay-at-home mom for their three sons, William "Jeff" J. King (Becca), James M. King (Peggy), and John R. King (Anne). Carol was a very active Cub Scout, sports, and band mom. She was an avid sports fan and rarely missed a Pacers, Bears, or Colts game. She loved going to see her kids and grandkids play sports and perform in their band activities.
Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Bill, in 1984, as well as her mom and dad, James and Janie Trout, and brother, Gary Trout. She was a grandma to seven grandkids, Tyler, Sydney, Jacey, Ryleigh, Mykaela, Colton, and Abby King.
Services were held on Friday, Aug. 25 at Flanner and Buchanan in Zionsville, with burial in Zionsville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
