Curtis's Story

Curtis "Grizz" Allen Grizzle, 63, of Rifle, Colo., passed away on Aug. 10, 2017 at Valley View Hospital in Glenwood Springs, Colo. Curt was born on Dec. 23, 1953 to Glenn and Betty (Reed) Grizzle in Lebanon.
Curt was a 1973 graduate of Zionsville High School. Grizz loved watching movies and sports. His favorite teams were the Colorado Rockies, Indianapolis Colts, Green Bay Packers and St. Louis Cardinals. He was a fan of Nascar and Jeff Gordon. Curt worked in maintenance a lot of his life and, also, as a cook.
Curt is survived by his father, Glenn Grizzle (Phyllis), of Lebanon; sister, Becky Smith (Gary); sister, Marcia Rowe (Robert), both of Zionsville; three nephews, Brian Scott (Cheryl), Jason Rowe (Stacy), Jeremy Rowe (Leslie); three great nephews, Forrest Scott, Tony Scott, Finnley Rowe; one great niece, Isabella Rowe; two very good friends in Rifle, Donna Kuipers (Rick) and Doug Delmonico as well as many others. Grizz did not know a stranger. He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty L. Grizzle.
He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Curt will be cremated and no service is planned at this time. The family requests donations be made in Curt's name to the American Cancer Society at cancer.org.
