David's Story

David Earl Nash, 70, of Zionsville, died Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2015, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.. He was born in Gary, Indiana, on June 17, 1945, the son of Earl Phillip Nash and Marian Vivian (Carmichael) Nash. Dave was a 1963 graduate of Wirt High School in Gary. He graduated in 1967 from Purdue University, where he studied Industrial Management and was a member of Beta Theta Pi.. On Dec. 19, 1987, Dave was married to Helen L. (Rodgers) Nash. She survives. He was a loving husband, father, stepfather, and grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with his four grandchildren, reading, solving puzzles, and opening the door for his canines. Dave co-authored LOL Cryptograms, a collection of humorous quote puzzles, with his wife, Helen, in 2014.. Dave had been formerly employed by Union Carbide and Betz Laboratories, as well as Tape Industrial Sales. He later became the owner of Dave Nash & Associates in Noblesville. He was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and enjoyed listening to Neil Diamond.. He is survived by his wife, Helen Nash, of Zionsville; daughters, Tiffany L. Nash and her husband, Dean Mueller, of Evanston, Illinois, and Aubrey L. Keith and her husband, Scott, of River Forest, Illinois; stepdaughter, Michelle Marocco, of Carmel; stepson, William Marocco and his wife, Amy, of Noblesville; and grandchildren, Axel Mueller, Esther Mueller, Ava Keith, Dylan Keith, Gavin Gershman, and Justin Gershman.. Dave was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Shirley Ann Nash.. He will be honored at a private family ceremony. Myers Mortuary and Boone County Crematory have been entrusted with his arrangements.. Memorials may be made to the Disabled American Veterans, P.O.
