Emily's Story

Emily Rose Del Vecchio, 10, passed away on Friday, May 11.. Emily touched the lives of many. Just last week, a room was dedicated in her honor at Peyton Manning Children’s Hospital.. She began competitive cheerleading at 4 years old, at Central Jersey All Stars, and most recently at Interactive Academy. She was a fourth grader at Stonegate Elementary. She will be forever in the hearts of her family.. She is survived by her parents, Joseph and Lori; her brothers, Frank and Robert; grandparents, David and Ann Hatfield, and Frank and Dolores Del Vecchio; great-grandparents, George Hatfield and Antionette Del Vecchio; aunts and uncles, Leslie and Rick Hite, Sharon and Jay Boxwell, Albert and Michele Galiszweski; cousins, Kristi, Albert, Gina, Brianna, and Sophia; and her great uncle, Danny Joe Cook.. Viewing was Sunday, May 13, and Monday, May 14, at Aaron Ruben Nelson Mortuary, 11411 N. Michigan Road.. Funeral services were on Monday, May 14, at Zionsville United Methodist Church..
