Patia Ann Maxwell Crawford was born on Dec. 30, 1924 in Indianapolis, the daughter of Patia and Warren Maxwell. She died March 23, 2017.
Patia was the older sister of brothers John "Skip," and Richard "Dick," Maxwell.
Patia graduated from Saint Mary of the Woods College in Terre Haute, then moved to Chicago, after graduation. She did some modeling and worked for the Chicago Tribune.
Patia met her future husband, Calvin Heisler, while on vacation with a girlfriend in the mountains of Colorado. Patia and Calvin Heisler married in 1949 and were blessed with four children, Ned, Jenni, Linda and Kurt. Patia married Robert "Ross" Crawford in 1982 and remained happily married for 24 years until Ross's death in 2006.
Patia was an unconditionally loving and proud grandmother of her three grandkids, Garrett Glasco Heisler, Hallie Patia Ann Heisler and Connor Alexander Heisler.
Patia was an elegant, beautiful woman who always thought of others before herself. She lived by the word of god as demonstrated in how she always served and cared for others before herself. Her friends and family will truly miss her positive spirit, compassion for others and her giving ways. The Maxwell family owned a farm with acreage in Zionsville for many years. Memorial services will be held for Patia Ann Maxwell Crawford at 10 a.m. on April 8, the Eagle Cemetery in Zionsville.
