Virginia's Story

Virginia Hyslop, of Zionsville, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2016.
She was 88 years old. Virginia was born in Lebanon, Indiana, to William and Jane Bennington.
Virginia was an avid quilter and enjoyed caring for her family and friends' children. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 248 and Robert Williams fellowship group. She was known for her loving and giving spirit to all who knew her.
Virginia is survived by her children, Paul Hyslop (Sherry), David Hyslop (Barbara), and Shirley Colvard (Mark); 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; siblings, Patty Guard, Robert Bennington, Dorla King, Charles Bennington, Raymond Bennington, Charlene Grizzle, and Linda Dawson; along with many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years, L.P. (Lee) Hyslop; her parents; siblings, Betty Giles, Relda Conway, Eileen Bennington, and Louise Bennington.
Family and friends may gather from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, at Flanner and Buchanan-Zionsville, 105 W. Pine St. A funeral service will be at 2 p.m., and burial will follow in Lincoln Memory Gardens, Whitestown, Indiana.
